Golden Hour

Pick it up and it’s pink grapefruit, bright and juicy without the sour edge. In the lather, berries and guava come forward and round it out into something sweet and sunny. It’s a fruit scent that stays cheerful rather than candied.

The base is almost all tallow, with a little castor oil for a dense, steady foam, so the bar is firm and long-wearing. Kaolin clay adds slip, and there’s real carrot juice in it too. We make it by cold process, and one fragrance oil, called Energy, carries the scent.

Golden Hour is named for that late-afternoon light when everything turns warm. This is the bar for the end of a long day.
