Neroli Rose

Rose comes up first, soft and familiar, like a garden at the start of summer. Neroli, the scent of orange blossom, brightens it and keeps it from going powdery. Just two notes, kept simple on purpose.

The base is tallow, the traditional soapmaker’s fat, with olive oil, coconut, shea and cocoa butter, and a little castor for a steady lather. Goat milk and colloidal oats make it extra gentle, sugar and silk help the bubbles along, sodium lactate gives a harder bar, and rose petals are scattered through by hand. We make it by cold process and give it a slow cure.

Neroli Rose is an old-fashioned bar with a soft heart: orange blossom and roses, side by side. Honest enough for every day, and pretty enough for the guest bath.
