Shadow Bloom

On the dry bar, jasmine leads, sweet and heady. Work up a lather and the dark notes take over: resinous oud, earthy vetiver, and sandalwood smoothing the whole thing out. It ends up floral without the powder and woody without the campfire.

Underneath is a tallow bar with coconut and olive oil, plus a little castor oil to keep the foam dense and steady. A spoonful each of milk and French green clay makes the lather creamier and adds slip, and spirulina gives it color. We make it by cold process, so it cures slowly into a firm bar.

Shadow Bloom is jasmine with the lights turned down. It’s made for anyone who likes their flowers with an edge.
